Business strengths Our Company's key business strength is our track record in delivering flexible and cost competitive logistics to the bulk liquids industry. We conduct these services with unrivalled experience supported by thorough application of proven operational solutions. In 1991, Company founder and owner, Hugh Waltho, acquired 42 – 44 Burke St Braybrook site with the specific purpose of receiving, processing and packaging tallow. The tallow was either packaged into drums and containerised for export, or stored in bulk and then shipped via tanker through the recently developed terminal at 40 – 44 Mackenzie Road, West Melbourne. This operation grew to the point where by 2002 it had become the largest single exporter of drummed tallow out of Australia, with volumes of approximately 25,000 tonnes per annum shipped. Anchor Tank's understanding of the key drivers in the management of bulk liquid storage can be summarised as follows: A supply chain partner to work closely with you to manage your current and future growth strategy. Provide stability in your 'cost to serve' to support your offer to market. Use of our strategically placed assets to improve availability of product to market and mitigate the risk of late / short deliveries to customers / shipping lines. Information management tools to provide visibility of volumes at hand. Visibility of up / downstream supply chain enabling earlier response to changes in consumer demand. Supply chain service provider to the bulk liquids community with an emerging pan – Australian reach. Storage and distribution across a diverse range of product profiles and industry sectors Seamless links to our wharf-side operations via dedicated wharf lines offering tailored Supply Chain Solutions to meet and exceed customers' expectations. Strategically positioned to allow customers to maximise their network opportunities with the assistance of off-wharf operations. Size, flexibility and willingness to invest in optimal solutions. Supply Chain Solutions: Supply Chain Modelling and Logistics Auditing Imports/ Exports direct to storage / ship Domestic transport optimisation either to next-warehouse/ inland facility or direct to customer accomodation Purchase Order and Inventory Management Full Service Handling We are experts at handling product in a variety of containers ready for export. ISO Tanks These containers are safe and efficient way to transport large volumes (25,000 litres). Tanks are insulated and can incorporate integral heating. Flexitanks A light polyethylene bladder has a volume of 14,000 to 24,000 litres, it is used for certain non DG bulk liquids. Flexitanks are disposable or recyclable and fit within a standard 20-foot container. Product can be discharged and heated via a low pressure manifold. Drumming We provide a comprehensive drumming service. Drums can be sourced, recieved and stored on site including IBC's and bulk bins. We fill drums with required product, quantity and weight. Drums are labelled and stencilled and can be pallitised or containerised to a specified loading pattern. Toll Manufacture Our tank farm allows us to mix and blend products on site. Currently Champion Liquid Feeds use our facilities to manufacture their Molafos M liquid feed. It is then distributed throughout the eastern sesaboad.
